New strategic alliance will allow for greater focus on Automated Benefits’ core competencies.
TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – March 20, 2008) – Automated Benefits Inc. (Autoben), a wholly owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp. (TSX VENTURE:AUT), is proud to announce its recent partnership with Unison Benefits.
Autoben recently streamlined its offerings, exiting all business lines not directly related to the functionality and support of their proprietary software. Autoben had been offering a full range of administration, including the resale of insured products, but will now focus exclusively on providing health and dental claims administration software to their client base. Needing to find a suitable replacement for services previously supplied to their clients, Autoben began an exhaustive search of companies. Unison Benefits, a Canadian owned company located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, has assumed the responsibility for these business lines.
“We are thrilled to be working with Autoben and their clients,” states Mike Wrenshall, President of Unison Benefits. “We are proud to have been selected as having the capabilities that their customers deemed fundamental to their business. This is an ideal partnership for our company – both in our approach to the market and our ability to support Autoben.”
Unison Benefits is a division of a privately owned insurance brokerage that has been providing their clients with service and advice on both individual and group insurance products for over 20 years. Unison Benefits was formed to focus exclusively on servicing the group benefit needs of Canadian companies.
“The purpose of this search was to find a better solution for our clients who had needs that would extend beyond our new business model,” states John Jackson, President of Automated Benefits. “We believe Unison Benefits has all of the tools these clients require and have a proven track record with the insurance market for support of both individual and group benefit sales. Autoben is now strategically positioned to focus solely on our business line – software solutions for the administration of group health and dental plans.”
