Innovative Claims Solutions Provider Now Part of Microsoft’s Insurance Go-To-Market Program

Symbility Solutions Inc. (www.symbilitysolutions.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp. (TSX VENTURE:AUT), has joined the Microsoft Insurance Value Chain (IVC) partner program. In addition to joining the Microsoft IVC partner program, Symbility Solutions is also a member of the Microsoft’s Mobility Partner Advisory Council (MPAC), Microsoft Tablet PC Partner Program and continues to work closely with Microsoft’s Mobile and Embedded Devices Division.

By joining the Microsoft IVC, Symbility will enhance the marketing of its Mobile Claims solution with assistance from Microsoft account executives. As with other IVC partners, Microsoft sales personnel will be trained on the Symbility Mobile Claims system in an effort to generate new line of business (LOB) wins for Symbility as the company penetrates the U.S. insurance market.

Available for most Microsoft Windows-based mobile and pen-based handheld platform, the Symbility Solutions system allows insurance adjusters and contractors to write and process claims on-site with greater accuracy, allowing insurance companies to settle claims faster. The core of the solution is Symbility.NET, a claims software platform that is an Internet-based communications hub, data warehouse and analytics engine. The Symbility Mobile Claims solution is the lightweight pen-based mobile application that is used to review claims, gather information, create and edit estimates in the field.

The Microsoft IVC initiative is composed of these key activities:

– Sourcing third-party applications that are best-of-breed examples of insurance business processing, ranging from point-of-sales-and-service all the way through re-insurance;

– Providing those partners with a framework for integrating their applications based on Web services and industry standards; and

– Pairing and pre-integrating these applications over time, in an effort to reduce millions of dollars spent on post-purchase integration for insurance customers.

The Symbility solution was designed specifically for pen-based mobile computing based on Microsoft .NET architecture and uses the Microsoft Mobile framework (SQL Server, Microsoft Office Outlook), as well as Microsoft MapPoint to offer insurance adjustors and field estimators a highly productive claims estimation environment.

Symbility recently surpassed the 1,000 system user milestone. The company now counts insurance companies such as Allstate Canada, Economical Insurance and Gore Mutual, as well as other claims professionals as users of its solutions.
