WATERLOO, ONTARIO–(CCNMatthews – Aug. 31, 2005) – Symbility Solutions Inc. (www.symbilitysolutions.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp. (TSX VENTURE:AUT), has reached a five-year agreement with Gore Mutual Insurance Company to adopt and rollout the Symbility mobile claims system for its property claims across Canada.
Following the successful completion of a five-month pilot program with Symbility, Gore Mutual will have all field adjustors company-wide processing property claims through the system by October 1, 2005. Available for tablet and pocket PCs with integrated Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi and GPRS/1X wireless technology, the Symbility Solutions system allows adjusters and contractors to write and process claims on-site with greater accuracy and to settle claims more quickly. Symbility’s mobile, wireless, on-site, pen-based system allowed claims adjusters and contractors to process claims on-average six times faster than when using traditional processing systems. In recent months, Symbility Solutions has signed contracts with Economical Group and Allstate of Canada to use the mobile system to process claims.
Gore Mutual’s pilot program was conducted in its Ontario region and was designed to verify the ease of use of the software by adjusting staff, ease of transmitting estimate information between contractors and adjustors; the efficiency of storing and retrieving estimate data; the extent of business intelligence capabilities for comparative and trend analysis; and the expense reduction and overall return on investment in the software technology.
“The Symbility solution has been developed with an excellent understanding of how the tool will be used by claims adjusters and contractors in the field,” stated Jamie McDougall, vice president, claims for Gore Mutual. “By crafting the tool with these users in mind and having an understanding of the claims process, Symbility has created a technology solution that truly enhances the process. Symbility was responsive and willing to stand behind their product and ultimately met all of our requirements to establish a business partner relationship.”
Symbility is currently running pilot launches with several insurance companies as well as with service organizations including Disaster Kleenup and ServiceMaster.
“As we sign new clients on to use Symbility mobile claims system, we move closer to becoming the leading wireless solution in the insurance claims data industry,” said James Swayze, Automated Benefits Corp. chief executive officer. “This contract with Gore Mutual is the third such client we have been able to sign on following a pilot program.”
