WATERLOO, ONTARIO–(CCNMatthews – Dec. 13, 2005) – Symbility Solutions Inc., (www.symbilitysolutions.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp. (TSX VENTURE:AUT), proudly appoints Mike Lees and Jon Santa to head the company’s U.S. sales efforts.
Mr. Lees joins the company as vice president of sales, bringing executive level relationships with the majority of Symbility’s target market that he established over the past decade working in the property insurance vertical. Prior to joining Symbility, Mr. Lees was the Executive Vice President of National Sales & Marketing for The Alliance of Professional Restoration Drycleaners (APRD). Mr. Lees has also served as National Accounts Manager for Servpro Industries Inc, which is a privately held restoration franchiser with more than 1,200 franchise locations. While there, he developed the company’s preferred vendor relationships with insurance companies and managed other large national accounts throughout the United States.
Mr. Santa joins the company as a senior sales executive, working with Mr. Lees on building U.S. partnerships. With over 35 years of sales experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Santa was the Director of Sales for Horizon Systems & Services Inc., a company that specialized in software for personal and commercial lines policy transaction processing. During his tenure at the company, Mr. Santa helped establish Horizon as a credible player in the P&C software market, inking several large deals with key insurance companies. Before this, Mr. Santa was the Vice President of Sales for E.H. Boeckh, a provider of local building cost information and estimating systems in the U.S. and Canada for the property/casualty insurance industry. While at E.H. Boeckh, Mr. Santa restructured and rebuilt the sales team and achieved new business sales of $2 million within his first year.

The addition of Mr. Lees and Mr. Santa further enhances the Symbility team that includes the following recently announced key executives:
– Jim Crocker has been appointed the president of Symbility Solutions. Prior to joining Symbility, Mr. Crocker established a legacy of successfully leading innovative technology companies into profitability during their rapid growth periods. From 2003 to 2005 Mr. Crocker was the President and CEO of LogiSense Corporation, a provider of IP billing and network optimization software. From 1996 to 2002, Mr. Crocker was the President and CEO of Virtek, a TSE-listed laser and robotics company that was listed for 5 years on Profit Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies.
– Eric Embacher has been appointed to the position of chief software architect. Mr. Embacher is a founder of Symbility Solutions and the mobile claims pen based computing solution. In 1996 he founded Qirra Custom Software; the first Windows based estimating system that was later sold to Prism Network. In this new role, Mr. Embacher will channel his industry expertise and product design excellence in leading Symbility’s vision for claims automation into real customer value.
– Rod Theoret, formerly of Descartes Systems Group and Oracle Corporation, has joined Symbility as the vice president, product marketing. In this role, Mr. Theoret will lead key business development strategies to increase the pipeline development while continuing to build the brand and image that Symbility has successfully launched.
– Brent Barber has joined Symbility as senior sales executive. Prior to joining Symbility, Mr Barber consistently over achieved his objectives and was rewarded with 5 Club Excellence awards and a President’s Club award reserved for top worldwide account executives at Oracle Corporation.
