Cost and Purchasing

How much does it cost?

The Symbility suite of products is priced based on account type.  For independent adjusters and contractors, the pricing is transactional and cost effective for small companies or infrequent usage of the software platforms.  Companies with a large user base or frequent usage will find a more cost effective solution in our subscription-based pricing model.  For specific questions regarding pricing, fill out our Contact Us page and a member of the Symbility team will respond with information.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes.  Both Symbility Mobile Claims and Symbility Claims Connect are available for trial.  Register at www.symbility.net and you may begin exploring the software.  With the trial versions, please note that you cannot print claims or electronically transmit claims data to other users.   When you are ready to become a permanent user of Symbility, you may access your account profile and enter your credit card information for per transaction pricing.  If you are interested in becoming a permanent user and would like the subscription-based pricing model, please contact the sales team via the Contact Us page. 

Hardware and Internet

What computer hardware do I need to run the software?

The minimum hardware requirements to run Symbility Claims Connect and Symbility Mobile Claims are:

  • Any personal computer (PC) – desktop, laptop, tablet or slate
  • Windows XP or newer operating system (OS)
  • 900 MHz CPU
  • 512 MB RAM
  • XVGA (1024x768 or 768x1024 in portrait mode) or higher screen resolution
  • 100MB available disk space on your hard drive
  • Internet connection - either wired or wireless
Do I need an Internet connection to use your systems?

Symbility Mobile is designed for offline usage when Internet service is not available.  Claims may be created while offline and then synchronized to Symbility Claims Connect once an Internet connection is established.  You must have an Internet connection in order to access Symbility Claims Connect.

Can I print claim files, including estimates, at the loss site?

Yes, but only as a permanent user of a Symbility product.  You may print an entire claim file with any standard or portable printer allowing you to leave a printed estimate with the insured.

Pricing Database

How do you get the unit costs for your item database?

Symbility uses Craftsman residential and commercial pricing databases, specifically the National Renovation and Insurance Repair Estimator, National Construction Estimator, National Repair and Remodeling and National Home Improvement Estimator publications.  The composite database contains pricing data for 768 regions throughout North America and is updated once every two months.

Software Features and Usage

Must I use Symbility Claims Connect and Symbility Mobile Claims together?

No, Symbility Mobile and Symbility Claims Connect can both be used independently.  With Symbility Claims Connect, the application can integrate with outside software systems utilized throughout the claims process.  Because it is a collaborative, workflow tool, Symbility Claims Connect is designed to work with other software systems, internal or external.  Symbility Mobile may be used by itself as a claims estimation tool. 

When using Symbility Mobile Claims in the field, is there a full pricing database? Can I adjust the prices if necessary?

The Symbility Mobile estimating tool offers a completely integrated pricing database for use in your claims.  Prices may be customized for personalization due to pricing fluctuations or mandates and the change can be remembered for future use.

Can I communicate my claims information with non-Symbility users?  Must they sign up with Symbility as well? 

It's not necessary for your customers or vendors to also use Symbility.  Claim files may be shared with non-Symbility users with our Guest User feature.  Designate a username and password for your guests and direct them to www.symbility.net.  Upon log in, guest users will have a limited view of your company's name and logo and any claims you have chosen to share with them.  Guests may only see only components of the claim that you allow them to access.  Guests are only temporary users, but they can print claims and create PDF files.

How flexible is the system with regards to making notes and comments for claim files?

Multi-line notes, digital photos (with captions), voice annotations, text boxes, callout boxes and handwritten notes may all be applied to claims within Symbility Mobile and Symbility Claims Connect.

Do you provide standard forms within the software?  Can I create my own forms in the software?

The software comes with 13 standard FEMA forms which can be added to any electronic claim file.  Our Form Editor allows users to create, share and incorporate any single- or multi-page forms into any claim file with a simple desktop publisher-like interface.
