Property damage claim processing still primarily relies on manual systems. Symbility provides a paperless mobile Internet-base solution that significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of claim processing.

In order to remain competitive and provide outstanding service, adjusters and contractors are always looking for ways to improve claim processing efficiency. Symbility’s sophisticated tools enable user to resolve claims faster and more accurately in the field. Symbility’s mobile claims™ solution provides the necessary tools for insurance adjusters and restoration contractors to collect claim information on site and securely share this data with the various parties involved in the claim. Because there is less re-estimation, less need for supplemental work, and less back and forth contact attempts with the insured, the insured typically receives their money faster and gets their repairs done sooner.

Unlike existing claim-processing software the Symbility solution helps prevent “scope creep” — a situation where the insured may continue to “discover” additional property damage to list on their claim. In many cases, additional damage is more likely to occur as the claim settlement time grows. Symbility’s mobile solution reduces the claim settlement time grows. Symbility’s mobile solution reduces the claim settlement time and, therefore, the overall claim cost. Adjusters make precise accounting of the damage and file them immediately from the loss site. Eliminating manual processes and laborious paperwork could result in large gains by the insurance industry as a whole. This is particularly helpful in storm and catastrophe work because in a single day and must try to resolve all of the information back in their hotel rooms and trailer in the evening. Performing the complete estimate on site greatly reduces errors that stem from relying on notes and memory, or having to transcribe the information into another system later.

The data collected by the claim adjuster on site is synchronized with Symbility. NET, which is available to all claim participants via Internet connection. Symbility’s system allows customers to seamlessly integrate their own date with other electronic claim systems. Symbility.NET, built upon Microsoft’s .NET framework, processes estimate data provides an interface to analysis tools and management reports, and interfaces electronically with other electronic claim systems via XML.

It also provides the ability to assign claims to the appropriate adjuster quickly and gain notifications to ensure the claim is progressing resulting in a faster settlement process.

The system also includes network-optimization features that provide intelligence regarding the transfer of various types and sizes of files. It adapts the distribution of large image and media files based on the available network bandwidth and performance.

Symbility’s solution includes support for a handheld laser rangefinder, which allows adjusters to capture precise measurements of exterior roofs and interior rooms, doors, windows, etc. directly at the site, eliminating the need to carry a standard tape measure, which is not even feasible for use at many damage sites. The laser rangefinder dramatically reduces overall time spent measuring, allowing claims to be resolved more rapidly and accurately.

The system provides direct support for standard forms. Especially important in catastrophe work, integrated FEMA forms may be completed on site and submitted within minutes. Symbility’s hosted, Internet-based solution requires no upfront capital expense outlay and no licensing. There are no CD’S to distribute or software to install. Users simply pay on a per-claim basis. The system is compatible with a wide range of pen-based mobile computers, providing IT groups with flexibility in hardware deployment. The system also reduces internal IT management issues, as well as internal, storage and database design requirements.
